SALALAH: HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, emphasised the importance of enhancing partnership and integration with various work sectors and community institutions, as well as benefiting from the views and proposals of Majlis Ash’shura members to support development efforts in the governorate.


This came during a meeting on Tuesday at the Office of the Governor of Dhofar between the Governor and the Majlis Ash’shura members representing the governorate's wilayats, in the presence of Dr Ahmed bin Mohsin al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, and several officials from the governorate.

At the outset of the meeting, the Governor explained that the governorate adopts the principle of partnership and continuous coordination with various entities and societal groups, paying great attention to the ideas and proposals presented by Council members as an important supporter for the governorate's development process.


The meeting reviewed several introductory presentations. The first addressed key aspects related to service affairs in Dhofar Governorate during the first half of 2026, while the second presentation reviewed the work and achievements of the Governorate's Municipal Council during its third term. The third presentation covered the initiatives, achievements, and projects executed and planned by Dhofar Municipality during the current year. - ONA
